Appearance[]

Wounders are small Troodon-like Grimm. They have a white coat of "armor" across their entire bodies, but this coat doesn't grant any protection. Some sections of the coat don't have armor. The belly of a Wounder has a blood red coloring. The tails of a Wounder have small spikes which appear to be feathers. Their eyes were bulbous and had Tapetum lucidum, a layer of tissue that reflects light through the retina in order to see better in the dark that many animals have, which made its eyes glow in the dark. As a side effect, they were unable to withstand intense light, such as a simple road flare. Their feet have small sickle toes in the index.

Abilities[]

Wounders had a jaw full of many small teeth, but they were not like the teeth of typical Grimm. Instead of little serrations running up and down the back of the teeth (as in most Grimm), there were larger bumps running along the side, as in many plant-eating dinosaurs and lizards.  Their reputation can be owed to its venomous bite. The toxins in their saliva that their teeth retained would cause hallucinations, in some cases causing the victim to become violent and attack nearby individuals. Unless the infection is treated by an extremely powerful tranquilizer, the victim then goes into a series of convulsions and seizures. The final stage is paralysis and brain death. Using this venom as their primary weapon, they would hunt by biting their victim and fleeing, but stalking their victim as it suffers from the effects of the venom. They would paralyze one of their prey as usual, but instead of eating their kill they would instead partially bury it in a secluded area while the victim was still paralyzed and rips the victim open (apparently the abdomen in humans) before proceeding to roost inside it.

Additional Notes[]

Lifestyle[]

Wonders are generally nocturnal Grimm, who stalk their prey to learn about them before actually making a move. They are extremely social Grimm, and almost never are alone. Most are seen deep inside Mount Glenn, in darker locations such as the inside of ruined buildings.

Trivia[]

  • The name Wounders comes from the meaning of Troodon, which is "wounding teeth".
