Description: Ruby fills the void her mother left with self-harm. Weiss fills the void of her parent's missing love with the need to be perfect. Blake has the delusion that she is a cat and is friends with monkey named Sun. Yang takes her frustration of her sister's depression out in unhealthy ways. These four meet under the roof of the Vytal Psychiatric Hospital to recover.

Ruby is having nightmares of the night her mother died. She constantly wishes she died with her mother and accusses Yang and her father of not understanding how she feels. The young girl ventures late at night to her mother's grave to yell at the stone and cut up her already self-injured wrists some more.

Two years ago, Weiss' mother told her she needed to lose weight. Because of the pressure her parents put on her, Weiss takes the suggestion to the extreme and begins to starve herself and making herself puke up anything that she eats for the next two years. Her friend, Pyrrha, is suspicious of her actions and, at the school's talent show, Weiss faints on stage from lack of food. Pyrrha then takes action to get her help.
