Meet RWBY[]
"How's your body holding up?" Yang said to her little sister, who was lying on her bed.
"I'm fine sis. Don't worry about me." Ruby replied, while rubbing her tummy. Its been 2 days ever since the incident at the docks. Ruby's craving for cookies. Especially the ones with chocolate chips.
"You got shot by an explosive bullet. How are you okay?" Yang added, raising her eyebrow. Blake was sitting on her bed, reading, and still a bit upset about what happened a few days ago.
But Weiss approached her and said, "Here, have a coffee." Blake looked at her, frowning at first, but smiled and replied, "I prefer tea, but...Thank you, anyway."
Weiss scoffed and replied, "After all the trouble I went through." But really, is making coffee too much trouble? Oh, Weiss.
Then, someone knocked on their door. "I'll get it." Yang said out loud, heading for their dorm's door.
"They better be here or I'll kill Ozpin." Bryan said to himself, leaning on the wall beside team RWBY's door.
No answer from the door. Bryan knocked again. Still, no answer. But Bryan could hear a bunch of noises coming from inside the room; a bunch of thuds and grunts. What's going on inside?
"That's it. I give up." Bryan said to himself and was about to leave, but that is when the door suddenly opened and four girls came out, stumbling and landing on each other as they come out.
"Can we help you?" one of the girls said. She had dark red hair, black clothing and a red hood with a cape. She also had silver eyes. Bryan was startled for a 10 seconds after seeing Ruby's eyes, reminding him of someone.
But then he shook his head and said, "O-Ozpin called for an announcement. All freshmen should be at the theatre. Get to it, rookies."
Then Bryan left, puts on his hood, and headed for the theatre himself.
The girls watched him go and when he was no longer in sight, Yang said to her teammates, "Be honest. That guy is cute, isn't he?"
Weiss nodded and said, "Indeed. I wonder if his hair is a natural white?"
Ruby, however, remained quiet and startled. She starred at the blank space where Bryan left. Why was he starring at me like that? Ruby thought for a second.
"Guys. You're...too...heavy...Can't...breathe!" Blake said, who was crushed by Ruby, Yang and Weiss after they all fell on each other.
The three all stood up and helped Blake up.
Ruby remained puzzled.
Everyone was waiting for Ozpin at the theatre. Glynda had announced that he will arrive in a minute.
"I wonder what we're here for." Ruby said to her team.
"Maybe it's about about the Vytal tournament?" Yang said, not sure of her answer. After a few minutes, finally, Ozpin arrives at the stage.
"As you may all know, the Vytal tournament is almost near. Ms. Glynda had already announced that you must all practice before the said festival. But for now, we would all like you to see a sample match." Ozpin announced to the crowd of students.
"I expect all students to be at the training facility at 11:00 sharp. For now, you train, rest or eat. That's all for now. You are all dissmissed." Ozpin finished.
Everyone was about to leave, but Ruby saw someone on the stage where Ozpin and Glynda are. He wasn't a teacher nor a Beacon staff. It was the same guy that knocked on their door earlier...It was Bryan, leaning on a wall, waiting for Ozpin and Glynda.
"That's weird." Ruby said to herself, but her teammates heard her. Yang, Blake and Weiss approached Ruby.
Yang asked, "What's weird?" while looking at Ruby, and then looked at the direction Ruby was looking at.
"Isn't that the guy who..." Blake said, looking at Bryan as well. Weiss looked at him as well. Team RWBY were quiet all of a sudden.
However, Glynda noticed them. She went to the microphone and said, "Team RWBY, please leave the theatre now. The staff members must have this meeting in private."
Team RWBY left and was lead by Yang, who said something about going to the dining hall and eat-while-they-can. As they walk to leave the theatre, Ruby slightly looke behind her to look at Bryan. She noticed that Bryan seemed left out. She also saw Ozpin go in front of him, and they were arguing, until Bryan left the stage and punched a wall as he walks. The wall's crack was very visible, even from Ruby's distance.
Ruby could no longer see Bryan from her position. She continued to follow her teammates.
Red and Blue[]
"Damn that Ozpin." Bryan said to himself as he walks at the hallway leading to the dining hall. He puts on his hood to cover his shining white hair, then puts his hands back on his pockets.
"He looks down on me but favors me at the same time? What the hell , Ozpin?" Bryan said, gritting his teeth afterwards. Then he remembers his leader's advice back then.
When you're angry, take a deep breath. Then...exhale. Then think of the happiest things you've done in your life.
So, Bryan followed her advice. He inhaled and then exhaled. Then remembers his time during his freshman days. He felt relieved afterwards.
"Ow." shouted a girl around the corner. Bryan heard her and as he looked behind him, he saw a rabbit Faunus with brown hair and maroon clothing and some golden shoulder pads being picked on by some sophomore boys.
"Tch. Not worth my time." he said, and continued walking. But he heard the bullies.
They taunted the girl, saying, "Hahaha. Wonder where you got that stupid brown hair of yours? Hahaha."
That proved to be the last straw. Bryan walked towards the bullies. But before he could get near them, a girl in a black and red skirt arrived at the scene. It was the same girl he talked to earlier...Ruby Rose.
"Hey! You guys back off now!" Ruby said to the bullies, defending Velvet.
The bullies laughed and said, "Or you'll what?"
Ruby suddenly hesistated, saying, "I'll...I will...ummmm..." She started sweating.
"Or I'll kill the three of you." Bryan shouted from his position. They all turned to look at the white haired boy, whose blue Aura was glowing already. The bullies got scared and ran from him. All of them were shouting, "Oh fu--It's Death God! Run!" as they ran away.
Bryan turned off his Aura and continued to go to the dining hall. Ruby waved goodbye to Velvet and she followed Bryan.
"Hey. Ummm...Thanks for saving the two of us." Ruby said as she followed Bryan.
Bryan, irritated, just answered, "I was planning to save the Faunus. 'Till you got in the way."
Ruby, embarassed, just stopped talking and kept following Bryan. Bryan noticed her following him.
"Why in Grimm's name are you following me?" Bryan said to Ruby.
Ruby, startled, replied, "I-I-I was...uhhh...on my way to the Dining Hall, too." She started blushing.
"Tch." Bryan said, and they continued walking.
"Hey...where's Ruby?" Yang asked looking for her sister in the Dining Hall.
As the worried Yang looks around, she finally saw her sister coming inside, with a tall, white haired boy beside her.
All three girls looked at the two, a bit shocked.
"Ummm...would you like to join us on our table?" Ruby said to Bryan.
Bryan looked at her with a cold stare and said, "No."
"Oh...okay." Ruby said, looking down with shame.
But she looked at him again and asked, "What's your name?" However, she did not realize that Bryan had already left and walked to a vacant table.
"Sooooo...who's your new boyfriend?" Yang said, suddenly hugging her sister from behind.
"He's not my boyfriend...and as much as I want to say he's cute...he's actually a very rude person." Ruby replied. Then they all went to their table.
"Who's the scary guy?" Jaune asked, as team RWBY sat with them.
"I don't know. I was about to ask his name but he left already." Ruby replied.
Around the corner, Bryan sits on a table alone. Then he turned his attention to Ruby.
"So you're the red head Ozpin was talking about." Bryan whispered to himself.
No Soul[]
11:00 a.m.
"All students, please report to the training hall. Repeat, all students please report to the training hall." the speakers in the dining hall said. The voice seemed to belong to Glynda.
"Wow. I never realized that we've been here for 3 hours." Pyrrha said to her friends.
"Wonder what will happen next." Yang said.
They all walked away from their tables. Ruby looked to where Bryan previously sat. To her surprise, he's no longer there.
"Something wrong, Ruby?" Blake said, while touching Ruby's shoulder.
Ruby shook her head and they all went to the training hall.
