South Side (formerly known as Red Zeppelin) is a floating city above the southern coast of Vale. It was built by Atlesian Scientists and Xenophobic escapists after a civil war between Faunus workers (with some low class human supporters) and the High Class humans. After the war's end, the reformed Atlesian Gov't arose, causing the xenophobic and brilliant minds of Atlas to create the aerial city.
History[]
At the eve of the Civil War, General Lars was killed from an assassin assumed to be from a Faunus. With one of their superiors killed, the Atlesian army's morale decreased significantly and without orders from their great general, had to be put under another general's orders. This General announced the surrender, not wishing for more bloodshed after supposedly failing to protect his President. The new President of Atlas proposed much more fairer rules and regulations for Faunus.
Xenophobic scientists who didn't agree with this new rule eventually turned to escapism; with the military not on their side, they couldn't fight effectively. A rich leader of the Swarm Squad named Ebony found the scientists. They were at wits end on how to revive the past pure glory of Atlas. Ebony, with his funds from the war and his wits, proposed an idea: Red Zeppelin.
5 years later, they built a floating building that sneakily flew away from Atlas skies. After 10 years, the floating tower flourished into a grand city.
After 15 years of prosperity and peace (as well as some public Faunus and Non-Atlesian executions after witnessing some people sneaking in through the Horizon Jet), a hidden rebel group hiding in the cities known as Scary Monsters ushered a full-scale rebellion. Both sides fought gruesomely, yet their hatred and negativity attracted Grimm. The Tako'he frightened both citizens and rebels alike. The giant octopus brought in a massive Grimm invasion that purged the city of its population. Some have escaped. Parts of the city were destroyed. Due to the city being above an ocean that time, investigation of how a flying city could exist were incredibly small as the buildings immediately sunk into the ocean. The rest became a territory for Grimm. For the next few years, some people would note that Grimm suddenly fall right out of the sky.
After 5 years, Honeybee 3410, a top-secret criminal organization raided the area. The Tako'he was immediately destroyed by one of Honeybee's SOLDAT, a large mech specialized in killing gargantuan Grimm. The Grimm were purged from the area and Honeybee took over the city, redubbing it South Side from where they found it: the Southern Coast of Vale.
Since then, South Side has been mostly a private training ground for Honeybee agents. They train child soldiers here. Due to the thin oxygen, either their lung strength increase, or die from the strenuous training. Nonetheless, despite their brutal training, South Side is heavily protected from Grimm attacks.
Technology[]
South Side's technology is incredibly advanced. Due to the funds of Honeybee and the advanced research, scientists had developed a Gravity Dust Engine that allows its position to remain in "perfect equilibrium; a constant 90". The Gravity Dust Engine has a superconductor that allows it to be powered up infinitely due to utilizing electricity and ice Dust. The Gravity Dust inside of it could keep up for around 6 years before having to replace it.
South Side is 19,000 ft above the ground and has thin oxygen. While the oxygen remains thin, Fire Dust nodes surrounding each "Section" heat up the area, heating up the area to humid levels while "allowing the sun to do the rest". There are much more Fire Dust in the beach area, Otmar's Coast. The Artificial Beach utilizes a Water Dust Engine that works similarly to the Gravity Dust Engine. With the Water Dust Engines, it's utilized to simulate earthen fields. Thanks to the Fire Dusts, the ground remains humid and not frozen. This allows agriculture
South Side is heavily guarded, using advanced weaponry able to even stop the mighty Tako'he. Thanks to Honeybee 3410's return, technology had increased even further, bolstering city defences from Grimm and invaders.
During the Red Zeppelin days, citizens were given a drug that allowed them to adapt to the high altitude in 2 days. The side effects were the increased symptoms of air sickness for the last few hours of the drug taking effect. If not properly maintained, the person could even die. Heavily trained Huntsmen with great stamina could survive the thin oxygen without using the drug.
Blue Monk[]
Blue Monk is their largest airship. Useful in transport of over 500 soldiers, Blue Monk is heavily armoured and armed. Blue Monk leads its lesser airships into battle, taking the first hits. There are currently 10 Blue Monks ready to be taken into battle.
SOLDAT[]
SOLDATs are 20 meter mechs with large arms and limber legs. Despite their weight and size, they are capable of rapid-fire jabs that can devastate even SS Class Grimm. SOLDATs are incredibly expensive and require a huge time to build. There are currently 5 SOLDATs in service.
The horrid truth behind SOLDATs are that they use the hearts of innocent children and middle-aged people's brains to be able to function. They cannot speak and can only scream and follow orders. Whenever out of service, the innocent men/women inside their suits spend every waking hour in eternal coldness and constantly hearing the electricity and parts clashing and dancing, keeping them awake. Whenever they go in outbursts, they would immediately have their joints sealed. They are sometimes heard crying. All those emotions are sealed and they are put into absolute obedience to their controller. With this, their greatest weakness could be emotions.
Uberkind[]
Prototypes of SOLDATs. They are still in service despite their smaller size and cheaper materials. Instead of using the minds of adults, they use the parts of children and meld them into robotic parts. They turn into 4 meter tall monsters. They are mostly used as berserk martyrs, using their childish tantrums to wreak havoc.
Like SOLDATs, the children are commonly crying and sometimes says things that involve missing their parents or enemies being blamed for taking away their parents. Uberkinds are actually dying children who fail to become Huntsmen while training in South Side, put into a "cruel but effective" life support. They also need daily maintenance on their respiration systems, which can malfunction in the heat of their tantrums.
Ghost Anti-Hacking Software[]
The Ghost Anti-Hacking Software is an incredibly high tech anti-virus and anti-hacking software. The reason why Honeybee is in deep mystery is due to their incredibly advanced security. The security prevents it from detection from radios yet is able to detect others without giving its signal away. In order to access it, a 999 digit code is required. Failure to do it results in a hidden virus being sent to the piece of technology attempting to hack it.
Any attempt on tracking its nexus point will have the device immediately hacked. The hidden virus allows full access to the technology it's in, allowing it to even record the person's actions through phone interactions or even through a camera if there is one. Honeybee members have a key that immediately encrypts the code in without having to type all 999 digits.
Ghost Anti-Hacking is usually available to be hacked into through other access points. Once someone exits the system, it immediately erases all traces of its data, leaving no lead as to where it came from. Failure to hack leads to the virus being sent and the trace of its data immediately erased.
The code can only be attempted once and immediately ends once the wrong input had been made.
Beliefs of the Red Zeppelin Citizens[]
During the Red Zeppelin era, their laws mixed with American Consumerism and Patriotism and some Military Nazism, mostly stemming from their belief that "Primal" Atlesians were pure and needed to be free of Faunus and other nations. Soldiers would usually kidnap Faunus, or even whole Faunus families and non-Atlesians to work as lowly humans with the ruse of giving them "freedom". If they didn't meet their jobs quotas, they would be publicly executed.
They're utterly racist and biased, only allowing freedom toward those of Pure Atlesian blood. They censor and edit out any outside stories, with edits making it so Atlesians were the heroes. An example of this is a Faunus inventor who discovered a way on how to use Dust for levitation, in which they utterly censored out any mention of Faunus and replaced it with an Atlesian man. Despite their racism, they still provided men and women equal rights in terms of job opportunities and pay, but were only reserved for Atlesians.
The Army of the Red Zeppelin was known as The Sapiens. They were duty bound yet lacked moral approach to executing Faunus and non-Atlesian. They'd humiliate them, abuse them, and even painfully torture them either through not working hard or for personal disgust.
They were also Anti-Religion and hated being compared to "Heaven". One of their planned missions were to purge religion by invading cities of high religious presence. They would have done their first mission until a rebel group funded by the White Fang known as the Scary Monsters ushered a full-scale rebellion.
Scary Monsters[]
The White Fang wear Grimm masks after being compared to beasts. In Red Zeppelin, the Faunus are treated as zoo animals and permanent fledglings, leading to incredible discrimination and abuse.
As soon as the White Fang learned of this place, they indirectly funded and trained Faunus wanting revolution. The Revolutionist who started all this was a 20 year old Ocelot Faunus named Lilly Agares, a single mother who lost her husband and daughter from police brutally beating and executing them. She started out with a few terrorist acts like taking over a Section, which caused the general public to see her cause as a "nuisance". A White Fang spy sees this and is interested in supplying Lilly with weaponry from the White Fang.
With the White Fang as allies, Lilly's terrorist acts started becoming more dangerous and imposing. Inspired by the White Fang, she called her Revolutionary group Scary Monsters.
While studying the history of Red Zeppelin, Rosso concludes that Scary Monsters was nothing more than The Sapiens with a different name. As they cleared out Sectors, they publicly executed innocents, even to some that were convinced of their plight.

Sections[]
Sections are separate "islands" that each house a different group of buildings. For example, Four Seasons Acres is the Agriculture section, housing farms, rural villages, and fields of nature. Before, Sections had a hierarchy-based residence system, but is more or less places to train or to reside in.
Statue of Purity[]
A Statue of a man in Atlesian Military wear. He stands on top of a rock and holds up a sword in his right hand, which is raised up, while holding a book in his other hand. The rock has some cloud designs to represent their high status. The sword symbolizes power, while the book symbolizes law. The statue is carved out of ivory to symbolize purity. The statue towers most of the Sections. The Statue of Purity is also a Section, housing some buildings underneath its statue.
Froscht Valley[]
A Section that stands a bit higher than the other sections and a simulated mountain. Initially used as a ski resort, it was eventually turned into a training camp to adapt to actual mountainous areas. The buildings were initially high tech, but changed to rural to make trainees adapt to harsher situations. By the bottom of the mountain is a swampy area filled with frogs. The fact it was a mountain and had frogs at the bottom earned its name Froscht Valley.
Four Seasons Acres[]
The Agriculture Section. It has less technologically advanced buildings to simulate simple farm life. Despite the latter, they can grow crops at a slightly faster rate than normal ones thanks to plant biology research and genetic modification. Livestock are usually placed here and graze from its grass, usually providing citizens with food. Plants usually grow here and is sometimes used for plant research.
Otmar's Coast[]
Otmar's Coast was the former high class area. This luxurious city is well-heated, by a beach, and has a simulated freshwater ocean. The beach closes at 10pm, where it goes through a cleansing process to rid of any pollutants to keep the water fresh. Otmar's coast is now a training camp for fighting in beach side areas as well as combat underwater. The buildings are where high-ranking officials take residence.
This Coast is named in honour Otmar Blitz, a high ranking Captain known to lead an army during a battle at a beach. While they lost, Otmar was memorized as a hero for being the first to shoot as well as the inspiration to his platoon.
Harrier's Peaks[]
Harrier's Peaks is an airport with large plains. Despite it being an airport, this isn't where newcomers come from and is more or less a training camp for aerial combat, even before the Tako'he invaded. Harrier's Peaks is possibly one of the most heavily guarded, lined with walls of anti-aircraft turrets, machine guns, missiles, and various other weaponry.
Harrier's Peaks was named after an air-pirate who reformed into a soldier and proposed the idea of carpet bombing the Faunus during the Civil War. While described as amoral and unethical by modern Atlesians, Harrier was nonetheless praised for his xenocidal proposal by the citizens of Red Zeppelin.
Lars District[]
Named after the eccentric but brilliant General Lars, Lars District is the adult district and the most urban out of all of South Side. Lars District is full of bars, gentleman's clubs, casinos, and various other places that could appear in Las Vegas. Lars District still somewhat retains some of the services, yet is more of a training zone for urban zones, leading to most of the workers there annoyed.
Jailhouse Rock[]
The entry place for every child soldier in South Side is Jailhouse Rock. As it suggests, it's a jail on top of a rocky mountain. It's at the lowest point, at around 15,000 feet, which is where the rainclouds usually are. The reason why it's a bit lower was so that they could adapt to the high altitude a bit easier. Of course, kids could die, but the scientists usually leave them in a near death state so they could convert them into Uberkinds. The reason why they kidnap kids is due to their outstanding potential.
Jailhouse Rock's accommodations are deliberately poor as to discipline the children into rougher and developed soldiers. Once a child had completed their training, they'd finally ascend to the rest of South Side for the rest of their training.
Argos Crescent/Deeds Crevice[]
During the Red Zeppelin days, both AC and DC were separate sectors. After the invasion, both sectors crashed into each other, but remained floating. They are both mountainous areas; one being a natural mountain, while the other resembles Mount Rushmore, showing the founders of Red Zeppelin.
Today, it's called ACDC Section. On top of the mountains is the HQ and Meeting Centre of the D4C. They call the base High Voltage. This is due to it being founded while a storm cloud was over it.
