Backstory[]
Most people are born in a hospital, or at home. Not Seiriol. She was born on an airship. As her father and pregnant mother were cruising, her mother went into labor, and the ship could not land anywhere. Thankfully, a licensed doctor was on board, and they were able to deliver the baby, but Seiriol's mother perished from the strain. Her father, though heartbroken, decided to raise her himself, and did so, living in the kingdom of Vale, working as a freelance pilot, despite the event that took the life of his spouse.
Seiriol's toddler life was curious. Her first word happened to be "sky" rather than "dad", due to her infant fascination with flight and the wild blue yonder. Her father constantly took her on airship rides, where he piloted the craft as the little tyke sat in front, watching. She absolutely adored the view from so high, the tiny vehicles and people so far below. Her many books she read as a youngster consisted of flying and soaring. Her father loved his daughter's fascination with this subject, and raised her well.
Nearing her preteen years, Seiriol began to notice more of the world around her. What she greatly noticed were the Hunters of the world. As she was taking a trip on her father's airship, she looked down below to see what looked like 5 hunters expertly taking down a giant Nevermore. Astounded, she ran to get books about hunters back at home. At one point, she went up to her father, showing him a drawing of her taking a Nevermore in mid-air. Her father smiled, and promised her she could be whatever she wanted. This set her on her path.
At the able age, she entered Signal. During her years there, she realized that she had to create her own weapons. As she couldn't decide, her father gladly agreed to help. Visiting the scrapyard near the airship port, Seiriol found two small propellers, and she immediately knew what she was going to do. She created her weapon, which she named Electraheed. As it didn't include any ranged capabilities, her father allowed her to have a sniper rifle, which she named Pacific Ending. She also unlocked her aura.
Signal's classes were not so simple for Seiriol. All she wanted was to go out and fly some more. This daydreaming caused her teachers to constantly snap her back to attention. Her fighting skills did improve, however, as she plowed through multiple classes, once quite literally. And that was when she met him.
In one of her battle classes, at age 15, Seiriol accidentally crashed through a wall of the school, after another student hit her a bit too hard. As she stood up, recovering, she saw a hand helping her up. Seeing who the stranger was, she almost recoiled, seeing how he had a scar on his right side of his face, and his general tone was menacing. Before she could say thanks, the teacher came over to see if she was okay, and the boy left. She later found out his name, Hafleikr , learning that he had just joined the school. She continued trying to meet him, but almost never saw him. When she did, he payed no attention.
When she finished her studies, Seiriol applied to and was accepted into Beacon.
Personality[]
Seiriol is a very nice, upbeat girl. She loves conversing with new people, and constantly sports a smile on her face. She rarely, if ever, is angry in any way, and prefers to see the good in people rather than the bad. She never goes by first impressions, however, and is still wary around strangers, making sure not to let her guard down.
As a fighter, Seiriol is a support fighter. Using her weapon, she gets to higher ground, such as a tree, a hill, or sometimes the air, then picking off enemies at a distance. Close combat fighting is not her specialty, but when push comes to shove, she'll make do. Her preferred attack, sniping from the air, is also her weakness. Her aim isn't as stable, and she can be a clear target sometimes.
Seiriol adores being in the air, and likes being in it as much as possible. Whenever she has to stay on the ground for too long, she gets frustrated, and sometimes even spiteful. This rarely happens, however, as she gets air time every single day, usually.
Seiriol is straight.
Her preferred foods are poultry and pretzels.
Appearance[]
Seiriol's outfit begins with her brown flat pilot's cap, accompanied by a pair of large aviator goggles to shield her eyes. She wears a brown leather jacket, usually open, with her symbol on the left upper section: a yellow propeller with six blades, as well as a white ring of fur on the jacket's collar. Under her jacket she has a woolen yellow shirt with slight stains. Her pants are jumpsuit pants, grey, with a brown belt to hold them up. She also wears black boots, very durable.
Seiriol has short yellow hair, hidden mostly under her cap, and brown eyes. She has a fairly tanned complexion, from her time flying in the airship her father owns. Her chest is a modest B-cup, and she has a scar on her palm, from when she was building her weapon.
Weapons and Abilities[]
Electraheed[]
This is Seiriol's pride and joy. This rotorized jetpack uses no rockets for boosting, and is really just for slowing descent. Two rotors (similar to a heli's tail rotors), connected by metal supports, rise a foot above Seriol's head, and can be converted into dual circular saws, with no transformation, just movement. There are small handles on the sides of the pack in its first mode, allowing for slight steering. The machine is powered by red dust.
The poles connecting the rotors to the pack lower and come forward, and the rotors rotate so that the edge faces forward. Two handles, one on each pole, stand straight up, allowing Seiriol to control the blades, being able to move them in any direction save her back.
The blades and poles can also fold up, turning into a simple metallic pack. The rotors are black, the pack is a grey yellow combination, and the poles are grey, save for the handles, Which have a yellow rubber handle.
Pacific Ending[]
This is Seiriol's other weapn, her ranged one. It is a simpleBarrett M98B sniper rifle , customized to completely reduce recoil. It is a bolt-action rifle, with a 10-round cartridge of fire dust ammo. The rifle has a yellow and black color combination, with a slight blue barrel.
Boost[]
Seiriol's Semblance is called Boost. With it, she can gather a small pocket of wind beneath her in order to give her a boost into the air, giving more time to the descent, so that she is able to aim and fire.
Howland[]
Although it isn't technically hers, Seiriol's father owns a basic airship known as the Howland. It isn't anything special, just a typical airship with two jet engines for movement and a cargo hold. At Seiriol's request, the ship has her symbol painted on its side.
Aura[]
Seiriol's aura is sun yellow.
Trivia[]
- This OC is based off Amelia Earhart, a famed womanpilot who set many world records, before completely disappearing during her attempt to fly around the world.
- Seiriol means "The bright one" in Welsh. Usually, something bright is yellow.
- Pierdid is a reworking of the word Perdida, which means lost in Spanish, when referring to a female.
- Her weapon, Electraheed, is a mix of Electra and Lockheed. This references her plane, a Lockheed Electra , which she used on her flights.
- Her other weapon, Pacific Ending, references her disappearance in the pacific ocean.
- The name of her father's airship is a reference to the island Amelia Earhart was meant to land on, Howland Island.
