Red Mirror is a self-contained fan fiction narrated by Lustra Chamberlain which details the saga of Jindai Lotus, specifically, the people and events which rotate around his role as wayward scion.
Note: Discontinued due to the reworking of the main character. Will probably partially reuse the other characters in another fic.
Blurb[]
A newly graduated Huntress leaves her past in urban Vale to take her chances in the lawless desert society of Vacuo. A chance encounter with a charismatic young scion leads to her employment under the esteemed Lotus family. What seems like routine Huntress work, if complicated by the required cooperation with an eclectic team from Shade, quickly gives way to confrontations with a wild array of eldritch Grimm, and the more complex conflict of tracing the origin of several acts of human violence.
Characters[]
- Lustra Chamberlain: A reserved, polite, and well-bred exterior masks Lustra's firm innate drive. Accustomed to being touted as an emblem of success among modern Huntsmen and Huntresses, she is motivated to establish her proficiency no matter what the craft.
Team JRAF[]
- Jindai Lotus: Privileged and mischievous, Jindai's carefree personality initially seemed unsuitable for a leadership position. However, he has proven to be extremely influential among his circle, no doubt due to his charm and penchant for engaging in exciting activities.
- Rami Ziadeh: Simultaneously proud and extraordinarily lazy, Rami is the team member who seems least interested in building a social dynamic, and yet he is inevitably the one the others turn to when they need to get a job done.
- Adrienne Bellamy: Provocative yet reticent, Adrienne's personal goals are disappointingly practical as a result of her humble roots, a far cry from the seductive aura she tries so hard to cultivate. Of all the members of Team JRAF, she is the only one who does not flaunt her hedonistic lifestyle.
- Farran Barnett: Violent, vengeful, and self-absorbed, Farran is easily the greatest vice of the team. His arrogant behavior is a vestige of an extremely sheltered childhood, one which bred in him a fierce desire to correct anything or anyone who challenges his paradise.
Lotus Household[]
- Tong Lotus: In direct contrast to her sheltered, outgoing younger brother, Tong Lotus is firm and particular about details. The responsibilities of preserving the Lotus family's public image falls to her, and she does not take well to others trying to disrupt her professional demeanor.
- Titania: The solemn and mysterious teenage cyborg bodyguard of the Lotus family.

Trivia[]
- All of the characters are inspired by aspects of Chinese historical/fantasy dramas.
- The title of the series refers to the fact that the characters are "mirrored" versions of my first set of OCs, but with a heavier Chinese theme (hence the "red"). Together, the term is meant to conjure up the image of a distorted mirror, whose glass reflects a different reality.
