Lafleur Cybernetics is a company specializing in cybernetic research, into various applications.

Background[]

Lafleur Cybernetics started off in a garage, when its founders, many years ago, applied their knowledge and experience in cybernetic engineering to create a startup company, as a way to make life more convenient for the physically disabled.

Soon, the company grew and grew, expanding into cybernetic research on the body and as a way to intercept to automaton market, among other things. And as the company grew, so did the desire to profit. No longer satisfied with providing only to handicapped customers, they decided to market and advertise to the average person, as a means of improvement of prosthetics over flesh and blood. They marketed their product as a fashion trend, drawing a wide market for customers wanting to run faster, pull more weights, and et cetera. This earned Lafleur Cybernetics a spot on the Grimm's Lair, and contracts from arms companies to create weaponized arms, refine existing automatons, and build entirely new ones. The Kingdom of Mistral once considered investing in Lafleur to reverse engineer Atlas's AK-200 Androids to create one for their own, mainly for security and military reasons, though approval is still pending.

They are in the process of building devices to improve the bodies of the average person, Human or Faunus, by developing a neural implant chip that allows them heightened reflexes. It is currently in the development stage.

Overview[]

Some of their product line covers prosthetics and cybernetics, including cybernetic prosthetic limbs. They are currently working on several projects, including the NEURO-LINX neural implant chip, which in theory could increase the physical capabilities of the users in terms of speed , reflex, and reaction time. They also create improved processing chips for specialized gadgets, such as machines, AI, Exo-suits, and weapons. They have also gone on joint ventures with other companies, such as Queenston Arms to work on other projects and improve their respective product lines. In fact, the two companies have been secretly reverse engineering the AK-130 Android for their own mass-produced unit.

Staff[]
