Jay is a spider faunas. his trait is that he has a spider abdomen placed like a tail would be on a cat/wolf/whatever faunas. he has shaggy blue hair that's pretty long. for his shirt he has a long sweatshirt on which the sleeves cover his hands by quite a large margin. its light blue and the sleeves have black uniform stripes down the sleeve. he has large bug like eyes that have glowing retinas. he has a skinny and small frame, and is very lightweight due to this. this makes him fast, but easy to pick up, throw, block, ect. he almost never uses his hands, but instead uses his weapon, poison kiss, I tentacle form. he usualy wears long sweat pants that cover up his feet, and is often barefoot.his abdomen is shaped like a black widow spiders and is blue with black and white markings that look like diamonds. his skin is so pale you would think he is dead, so often times when going out he has a sunhat on. so that's all I can think of atm. I would touch on his voice but hes a complete mute, so he cant talk. also he has no hands, with his weapon pretty much replacing them.

Personality

jay is usually shy and reclusive, not really liking to be with other people. he tends to just let things take their course, not intervening. he is very empathetic and can read people like open books. thustly he knows how much of a monster people can be. he generally look at someone for a few minutes and determine weather or not they can be good friends with him. he cant read thoughts, just emotions and personalities. he doesn't show it though. generally he gravitates towards people with a high understanding of others thoughts. Jay is flustered quite easily and when he does his eyes glow like lanterns. when there's other people he tries not to stand out, and fails drastically. his defining features make him stand out to much. he has a strong hatred for grimm because they literally murdered his parents. when in combat with he enters a sort of trance. he becomes completely emotionless. in this battle trance he singles out one enemy and messes with them, teleporting right in front of them and teleporting away.

Weapons and Abilities

WEAPON

Jays weapon is poison kiss, 2 nub caps (basicaly a metal thing that goes on the nub where his hands should be) with 4 holes on each. these extend into 4 whips each 8 total that can turn into tentacles. each goes up to 30 feet. in its whip mode their lined with poison. this form is used only in combat to attack with fast lashes in quick succession. the poison makes it so ones aura is slowly drained. the 8 whips can transform into tentacles whenever Jay wishes to. in this form the poison goes away, allowing them to be used for things like holding animals and eating. they act like replacements for Jays hands, even though their not a part of his body. even when detached he can still command them to do whatever he wills. these tentacles are soft robots that are controlled directly by jay's mind via a neural implant (see backstory) they are used for grabs, lashes, and general area control. out of combat they pretty much act as his hands, so he uses them to grab pretty much everything. the tentacles can lift 50 pounds each, making them kinda strong on their own, but the true strength potential is when multiple tentacles work together, as the strength total adds. (1 is 50 pounds, 2 is 100 pounds, ect) this weapon is not made for strength however, but speed. the tentacles can lash at about 200 mph. however at these speeds they cannot use their full strength, only being able to pick up 10 pounds at max speed. (I know that sounds overpowered but whips can break the speed of sound which is over 700 mph, and characters in rwby tank literal gunfire like its nothing. now rubys gun, and this is a conservative estimate using mesurements from rifles designed for police officiers, are a bit shy 2000 mph, over an area much smaller. so if aura can tank that it can tank a tentacle moving at a 10th the speed, and with considerably more area.)

Backstory

Jay was born to Widow Noir and Sky Azul. widow was a spider faunas and Sky was a human. Widow was a dress maker but Sky's job as a neurologist allowed Widow to be a stay at home mom. Sky's parents were racist and did not like widow, but Sky didn't care. years later they got engaged, and of course Sky's parents didn't come. when Jay was born his vocal cords and hands had not developed, and never would. Widow accepted this, Sky's mom and dad said it was retribution, but sky, bold as he was, wanted to give Jay something to make up for this. then he got his chance. he learned of a prototype system that allowed complex weapons that would require a lot of controls to be controlled through a neural implant. Sky told jay about it, and he agreed to it, and so he got the implant. so they tested it with his glowing contacts and it was a complete success. from there everything went on normally. he was five then. fast forward a month, his sixth birthday. he sees his mom and dad holding 2 presents. his dads held Poison kiss, while Widows held his sweater. "you'll grow into it" she said. Jay was a natural with Poison kiss and soon he was doing everything his hands would do with the tentacle form. 2 months after that he learned how his semblance worked. he started going outside, and there was some kids there. he tried talking to them but they tried to beat him up. he ran, but he ran into a dead end. right before they were going to hit him over the head with a bat, he teleported. he told his parents (leaving out the kids with the bat trying to beat him up) and they confirmed this was his semblance. so he trained it and after a year he mastered it. now its 2 years later, he's 8, when tragedy rears its ugly head. a grimm attack on the little village they lived in. it was brutal. a massive amount of beowolves knocked down the gates. at this moment beowolves and ursas swarmed the streets killing all that were there. they all ran but they weren't fast enough. they were cornered. widow told jay that he needed to teleport as far away as he can. and so he did. later he headed back. everything was gone. he found the alley where he teleported from and all Jay found was a silk sunhat. his moms sunhat. taped to the inside was a key. so he went home, and to the basement. there was always a room in the basement that was locked. he used the key on it, and it opened. inside was a book. a scrapbook of all the moments his family photographed. and at the last page with stuff in it was a note. it read

"hey jay. if your reading this, something went wrong. move on without us, but don't forget all we did together. don't let this be the last page in your scrapbook. -mom and dad."

and so he set off, to new lands....

Trivia

his first name jay is a reference to the blue jay bird, while Azul is blue in Spanish

Jay's abilities and weapon is based on Koro-sensei from assassination classroom, though Jay's not nearly as powerful.

he is good with certain string instruments, mainly the violin and harp. he often constructs one out of thread and plays it.
