Professor Cassiopeia Cruan Angus Fallende is the headmistress of Nordstjernen Academy and a side character in Bright as Fallen Stars Fanfiction. While she has yet to make an appearance, she has been mentioned in (chapter #), where Ozpin informs Stjerne and Logan that they would be facing off against students from her Academy for the Vytal Festival Tournament Titian leagues. Her weapon of Choice is a Recoil Shield called Èchiquier.
Appearance[]
Cassiopeia is a tall young woman with pale skin and blonde hair, which appears white. Her eyes have the same Heterochromia pattern as Stjerne Fallende and she is often seen wearing a light layer of makeup.
Outfit[]
Her usual outfit is similar to that of Astreae Fallende's Queen regal, having the same slit sleeves, vambraces and gown pattern. The gown however, consists of mainly white, dark blue and silver patterns. Her hair is even styled in a similar manner to Astreae's regal. Cassiopeia also wears a silver Coronet, with a blue gem, around her forehead. She wears an Orajīo, which is placed inside a silver case and linked with necklace chain.

Personality[]
Cassiopeia is described as the "New Themis", which refers to one of the Fallendes' older leaders, Themis Fallende, during the time of the great war. There are rumors flying around that she is actually a great great grandchild of Themis, which technically would make her a relative of Stjerne, but this has never been confirmed.
Cassiopeia comes out as almost a motherly individual, towards her students, acting in a almost kind and caring demanor when in public. Because of this, some students describe her as somewhat "odd" and "hard to understand at times." Cassiopeia at times, possesses a somewhat cold and stern temperament, and is not above taking extreme actions if the situation calls for it. Because of this, The Headmasters of the other academies sometimes refer her to as the "White Queen of the North"

Cassiopeia is friendly with the other 4 headmasters, including the headmaster from Sørstjerne Academy, which is South of her academy. By Ozpin's request, She still maintains and leads the remaining factors of the Scales of Justice group, which serve as Ozpin's backup circle, should anything drastic occur.
As is said in her motto, Cassiopeia considers beauty as more of a strategy then a feature of life. She demonstrates this towards her students with her dignity and wisdom that she has gained throughout the years. She constantly reminds students that it's their ancestry that sets them apart from regular humans. She takes great pride in her students and their accomplishments, especially when team CLLS won against Sørstjerne's team SSDD in the Vytal Festival Tournament.
Cassiopeia is also very strict when it comes to Traditions and Ceremonies often carried out by the Fallendes, and does her best to make sure they are carried out to the letter, such as when they re-initiated the Titan Leagues, they honored the fallen in the great war by performing a Tradition known as "The March" before chosing the kingdom to host the festival during the Summer Solstice.
Cassiopeia is also very encouraging to her students, especially when they decide to enter the Fallende Vanagard and take part in traditional hobbies and trades. She believes in expanding the horizons of her students and giving them the potential to help the people of Remnant in any way shape or form, whether it be as huntsmen or huntresses out on the Battlefield against Salem and the creatures of Grimm, or as tradesmen working around the clock to provide for the republic and the people of Remnant.
Cassiopeia is loyal to Ozpin's circle and is the leader of the Vytal Faction, otherwise known as the defunct "Scales of Justice Council". With the main council members in their own crisis, Cassiopeia has elected her staff members as temporary aides in the council, to help assess the situation of the battle between Salem and the rest of the world. Thanks to her semblance and her strategic planning, she is one of the perfect individuals to lead the Vytal Faction of Ozpin's Circle.
Powers and Abilities[]
Cassiopeia may not look the part, but she is a skilled warrior, having been trained in Nordstjernen Academy for the whole of her life. In fact, it is said that it was because of her wisdom and her combat abilities that she became the next headmistress of the Academy. Cassiopeia uses a mix of Acrobatic and medieval fighting style, mainly using her weapon as a shield and blade combined.
Weapon[]
Èchiquier is a Silver shield with a chessboard based patterned engraved around the center. The outer rim is sharply bladed and a recoil string is attached to the vambrace, allowing Cassiopeia to use her shield as a bladed yoyo against her opponents. Èchiquier also has the ability to inject dust types into the outer ring, giving Cassiopeia a more dangerous attack method.

Semblance[]
Cassiopeia's Semblance is known as "Player's Place" which is an immediate foresight. Cassiopeia has the ability to see any possible move from her opponents in a battle, the worst often being the most immediate. She often uses her shield in sync with her semblance, with minor moves appearing in the checkered pieces of her shield, the worst appearing in the center. The foresight often predicts immediate battle moves, rather then future events or pretense.

- Cassiopeia's side allusion is the White Queen from Alice through the Looking glass novel by Lewis Carroll.
- Cassiopeia takes on a Chess theme, referring to the White Queen in the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie.
- Cassiopeia's semblance refers to the strategy involved in playing chess.
- Cassiopeia's middle last name Cruan means "Enamel" in Irish, which is a material some chess sets are made of.
