Agave Koppai is the leader of the squad "ARMC",and a member of the "Pentagonal ottoman", a guild of bounty hunters located in mistral, she is currently there with her squad members.
Appearance[]
she is a woman with dark skin and a skinny built. she has black short hair in a very messy style and a mohack-like blue hair.
Agave´s eyes have different color, blue for the left eye, and orange for the right eye, her orange eye is a mechanical implant.
her outfit consist in a black sleeveless jacket, an orange strapless crop top, and blue baggy knee pants.
she walks shoeless by force of habits, just using her weapon as a substitute sometimes.
History[]
from vacuo to beacon[]
Agave was born in a city in vacuo, she is part of a family of thief, a comunity in which the kids are trained to survive from a very early age. her fathers died shortly after she was born, so she became the child of the familly, growing up and learning from all the adults in the place. seeing some potencial in her, the thief in the familly began to teach her the ways of theft (they trained her to fight and use her aura and semblance).
she grew as a good thief, not the best in the familly, but she had potential. one day, she failed a "mission" with her cousins, this cost her an eye,she survive, but her right eye got destroid, so one of the adults, searched for an eye to replace it, he found one and with some help from a medic they know they were able to replace her right eye with a fully funcional cybernetic eye, though this eye had a different color than her real eye, it was orange, it made a contrast with her left blue eye.
After she recover they all got scolded by the matriarch of the familly, her cousins blame her since she came up with the failed strategy, the old woman didn´t care and ground them anyway. to prevent this to happen again with this group, the matriarch took Agave and began an intensive training to make her a good strategist.
some years later, after receiving her signature weapons as a gift, and becoming one of the best teenager thief in her familly, the adults decided to test her, she had to steal a cargo full of food and some dust that came from vale, she only had to fill a bag, thats all they needed, so she accepted the challenge.
little she know, the owner of the cargo hired a huntsmen, so during the mission, when she was fleeing from the place, she meet face to face with the huntsmen, after this, begans a funny persecution agave trying to flee but the huntsmen stopping her everytime, it gets to a point where,out of despair, she tries to fight him, she loses, and as a last resort, she blows the place using all her fire dust, the explosion destroys the ceiling, she jumps out off there. now in the roof, she looks for a way out, but sees the huntsmen in front of her, after seeing that everything she did fail, Agave froze.
the huntsman took the bag, and told her, "you may want to leave this place, you don´t want the owner catching you, dont you?", she, still in shock got up and escape.
back in her home, the adults tried to apologize to her for not knowing about the huntsmen,they confort her the best they could. At night, the huntsmen reach her place and talked to Agave in a friendly manner, "girl, you got some moves there, i have to admit, you where a pretty tough one to fight...so, i see you got potential, and wasting it like that, i can´t allow it man...so, would you allow me to try to convince you in becoming a huntress?", Agave, a little reluctant, said yes.
after getting convince by the huntsmen, he kindly offered her a little more training before going to beacon,she felt offended by this, but she didnt want to leave it to the odds, so ate her pride and went along with the training. the huntsmen teach her the basics of fighting, dodge, distance, how grimms behave and a better control of her semblance, aura and her own weapon.
finally after some months and a recomendation from the huntsmen, she got qualified to enter on beacon academy.
First year up to volume 2[]
during the pairing test, Agave got in pairs with Ron Morpheus, they later got in a team with Margaret Cavallo and Carmelo Hellslot. during this time, Agave got fascinated by the art of dance, she began to practice dancing, in particular, flamenco and capoeira, she also trained to use this type of dances as a combat style.
during the dance party, she got very impress by a team that went in and danced like gods, she tried to make her teammates dance with her like that, but they turned her off.
Volume 3 to volume 4[]
after the grimm invasion to vale and the capture of roman torchwick, Agave began thinking,"looks like the so called bad guys aren´t as intelligent as we think", though, she felt fascinated by the fact that even that little security breach, was able to cause some panic in the city, considering they have literally a full army above their heads. she was feeling great during the tournament, so she celebrate the best way she could... drinking.
during the fight between pyrrah and penny, she was drinking some tequila while seeing the battle with her friends, then, the event happend, they were in shock seeing the scene, after the person talking quit the transmission, they heard the alarm. mixing her little bit of drunkiness with the situation, she sprinted towards the frontier of the city, wanting to stop the incoming grim attack, her team went with her.
during the defense of vale and beacon, team ARMC begans to get overwhelm. Ron got incapacitated, so the team retreated to the city. there the atlesian knights began to attack them, not that much of a treat, until a red atlesian paladin found them, Margaret and Carmelo pass out after trying to stop the robot. Agave in a last ditch effort, light up her legs and arms with fire (weapon most dangerous mode), she puts up a great fight, but the robot knock her out, lying in the floor , unable to move her limbs. thankfully, Ron got back up and stall enough time for the robot to deactivate.
after this they manage to get to the ships. while in the place, Agave heard "but j...and p... are still missing", hearing this she felt guilty for letting her team pass through something like that for just a reckless action.
after they got to safety, the huntsman that help her enter beacon, appear with a proposal, he offered to them a work as members of the Pentagonal Ottoman, a guild of bounty hunters, where they could have a place to stay and still work as huntsmen.
after some training, and upgrading their weapons, they became members of the Pentagonal Ottoman.
Personality[]
the life as a thief gave her a cold and serious actitud, the pressure of being the best of her group mold her into someone that doesn´t take losing lightly, she hates to make mistakes and finds it difficult accept that someone can out smart her, or...well...that was the case until her arrive at beacon, there she began to be less serious, having to deal with her teams gooffiness.
she became more stylized after discovering dances, still being competitive and a little perfectionist. after what happend in the battle of beacon she entered a state of self-blaming, thinking in what could had happend. with the help of her friends she was able to overcome this and move on (and also left alcoholic drinks).
now she is a more relaxed person, she enjoys life and share more with her friends, though her bigest fear is causing pain and suffering to her beloved ones because of a bad decision.
Combat Information[]
Weapon[]
her weapons are called "Elemental Wrath", they are a pair of blue gloves and boots, they have a cartridge on the side were the dust is stored (the equivalent to a dust crystal per element).
the main deal of this weapons is that they can produce and control elements depening on the type of dust it has. the weapon after being upgrade, can now store 5 different types of dust to use: fire,ice,lightning,wind and earth. Agave can control this five types of dust during a fight, but she can only control 4 at the same time (she only has 4 limbs) the change of dust type is done by hand gesture, and is very fast.
the way it manipulates dust is by giving it form and a retarded effect before releasing it (after that, she can´t manipulate it), for example:
- a fireball that explodes after x seconds.
- a spear made of rock/ice and throwing it a a high speed.
- make a wall of rock/ice to protect herself
- spin to make a mini ciclon of flames.
- charging an electric ball, before releasing a beam.
- etc.
her weapon normally consumes a 5% of x dust per attack , but she can also maintain a constant emission of fire (turning her limbs into blowtorch), and wind (turning her limbs, mostly her feets, in short burst propellers), though this can consume an entire crystal of dust in a little less than a 30 seconds.
Semblance[]
her semblance its called "gravity warp". what basically does is that she can change the vector of her own gravity. with this, she can change the strength and the direction of it.
normally this means that she can walk on walls,ceilings and such, but since she can change the magnitud of her gravity, she is capable of making herself less or more heavier, duplicating her overall weight to crush her enemies, or make herself so light that with one jump she can reach the roof of a 5 floor building or higher (she can´t make her body weight nothing by semblance limits neither become 10 times heavier because body limits).
her semblance energy cost is exponential while active (changing or maintaining a change) , the more time she use it the more it will cost, but this cost only resets when she spends 5 minutes without using it. (to give an idea, the time in total she can expend with her semblance active is a maximum of 3 minutes without reset, this time can increase if she spends 5 minutes without using it since its exponential cost will resets)
Combat style[]
she fights keeping a distance, she uses her agility to stall for time in order to uncover her opponents weakness. when she uses her different dust types she fights using dance moves:
- fire dust = flamenco
- ice dust = ballet
- lightning dust = break dance
- wind dust = capoeira
- earth dust = river dance
when it comes to her semblance, she still use it the way its describe above, but after her training in the "pentagonal ottoman" she began to use it as a way to dodge attacks. using her semblance to help her keep balance while dodging, allowing her to evade attacks in ways that could not be possible in normal conditions.
