Appearance[]
An average sized male with bright red hair and a light skin tone, Chi is well built and dons Gi emblazoned with the symbol of the Vermilion Phoenix, a shadow of the birds wings on a black patch, on the back of his gi, underneath the gi is a black undershirt. On his belt he has a feathery design buckle and a few medical pouches.
His guardsmen attire is a full black combat suit, with a dark red overcoat with the same belt buckle. On his back are the sheath for his blades in a under fashion.
As a crane faunis his trait is his tail, that he has tied up in the under of his coat/gi.
Personality[]
Chi is the type of person who although has trained in martial arts and as a huntsman. prefers to avoid the limelight and fight but more stick to the medical role. He has learned from his own mistakes that violence is not the means to an end. He is a naturally friendly individual but when he is pushed to his extremes he is not a man to be trifiled with. He is normally the first to initiate contact with people, despite his heriatge as a faunus.
Growing up in Vacuo, a "lawless area" he has learned to always be aware and even though he approaches strangers with confidence he is always alert so that if they were to attack, he would be ready.
He enjoys light novellas, medical journals and tending his herb garden as he often spemds his time being a better medical huntsman than a combat huntsman. Believing in the oath to do no harm, however bending that oath if the situation occurs such as fighting an opponent or having to harm them to heal. However once he has done that, he tends to them straight away apologising for what he has done.
He dislikes only bigots who either insult faunus or people who argue that they dont want a faunus doctor. and bell peppers, Yu'Long gave him a spicy pepper and he never forgave her so he doesnt enjoy spicey things.
Backstory[]
Raised in Vacuo with the rest of his team by a Grandmaster of the Iron Fist schools abadoned as children. Chi was always the masters favorite or so he would believe as the old man took him under his wing and trained him, as well as the rest of his team in the various disciplines of the Iron Fist way. Wing Chun or what was taught under the Vermilion Phoenix school, is what the master taught him at an early age, training him also in medicine as that was the aspect of the school.
When he was of age and ready, he went to schools in Vacuo to train as a huntsman as he wished to honor his mentor. During his schooling however, he was bullied and he often came home with bruises or damaged plumage, the Grandmaster warned Chi that violence is never the answer, and to follow the teachings of his chosen style, which is that of medicine, and only to fight when his life depended on it. Chi, arrogant as he was turned around and retaliated.
Once he did however, he thought he'd get respect and be left alone, he only got the latter. His team however stuck by him and he focused on helping those in need. He eventually made up for his transgressions after saving the bully from a pack of beowolves and tending to his wounds
Upon Graduating before Beacon Fall, he and his team left Vacuo to get away from it all after recieving a job interview from Cielo, when they arrived to see that they would guard a prince from the shadows Chi smiled stating that he would like that, avoiding the limelight and focusing on his own enlightenment.
During Beacon Fall he and his team where in Vale looking for Wolfe, not knowing he was in The Valley, and since then they have always kept an eye on him, making sure that he would be safe, while he himself pursued his medical skills helping within the Valleys clinic.
Relationships
Chi gets on well with his team and is often making fun of them for silly mistakes. However he does have a soft spot for his parter Yu'long as she was the first person to ever be kind to him and he often is protective of her. As he graduated he and his team were met by Cielo Mimo and were offered training jobs as members of The Silverwood Royal Guard, and as such have a very good relationship with Scarlets organization, and have become the "shadows" of Wolfe when he is out of the Valley on business.
Abilities[]
Combat
Adept in the martial art of Wing Chun, Chi primarily fights hand to hand against human opponents often avoiding his weapons as despite his warrior aspect, he is an avid believer in the Hippocratic oath and doing no harm so he uses this to subdue opponents and in an act of smugness will tend there wounds after beating them.
Against Grimm however he uses two butterfly blades that flow with his chosen Martial Arts style, the blades are known as "Aspect of the Cranes Grace". The blades are standard metal coated with a release for dust to flow onto the blades.
He has no way of dealing with Ranged Opponents so he uses his semblance to close the gap to deal with them
Semblance: Skip[]
Chi for only short periods of time can move faster than the normal huntsman or huntress and "skips through time" when in reality he move at 5 times the normal person, giving the illusion of time skipping.
He can use it once every 10 seconds otherwise it does weaken him substantially
