Appearance[]
Cecilia is a young woman with a pale complexion and a rather short stature. Her eyes are turquoise in color and her brown hair is long enough to reach her waist. Her hair is braided all the way down and tied at the end by a pale pink ribbon with straight bangs falling just above her eyes. She has a sugar glider tail, which is thin, fuzzy, a sandy brown color, and around four feet long. Cecilia has soft facial features and a small and slender build, and definitely doesn't look like one who would be training as a Huntress. Her usual outfit consists of a skintight white sleeveless unitard with a golden vest over the top as well as golden shoulderpads and golden accents all along the suit. Her emblem is marked on the back of her vest in a white color. She wears golden boots, fingerless gloves, and a pale pink cloth around her hips that is tied into a bow in the back, and her left ear is pierced with a golden hoop-shaped earring. Her weapon is placed on her back when not in use, as well as a pair of kunai sheathed within the depths of the bow around her waist.
Personality[]
Cecilia is the sweetest yet most audacious young lady you'd likely ever meet. She's a total sweetheart, and wouldn't ever dare to hurt a fly (unless it was an evil fly). She's sociable, a chatterbox, and sometimes too friendly. In fact, she has a tendency to walk into strangers' conversations and greet them as if they were already close friends. In fact, her general kindness to everyone is one of her quirks, as well as a fatal flaw. She can be overly trusting and quite naive, which leads to unfortunate events.
Although she may be pursuing quite the dangerous occupation, she is a child at heart. Cecilia is very playful and silly, and enjoys cracking jokes, teasing, and especially keeping a lighthearted and cutesy persona. She is pretty affectionate towards all of her close friends, which can become very confusing. For instance, one may misinterpret this platonic affection for romantic interest, which is where Cecilia gets very confused. She is quite innocent, and doesn't have much experience in romantic areas, or likewise.
Despite her near-constant childish behavior, Cecilia has her serious moments. She's pretty sensitive, so one wrong statement can put her in the dumps. Whenever she does feel down, it's pretty easy to tell, since she lacks her usual bubbly and cheeky personality. She can be pretty reckless, especially when taunted, and doesn't hesitate when it comes to diving into action. Her head is always stuck in the clouds as she's infatuated with a fantasy of heroism and adventure, which is the root to her desire to be a Huntress.
History[]
Cecilia was born as an only child to Cecil and Leia Saccharo in the kingdom of Vale. Cecil was five years into his career as a policeman when his daughter was born. Leia stayed home for the first few years of Cecilia's life before going into the music business. She became a pretty big hit locally, her enchanting voice winning the hearts of listeners. Once her stardom died off, Leia became the manager of the most popular radio station in Vale.
As for Cecilia herself, she grew up pretty sheltered. Being surrounded by music her whole life, she became accustomed to singing and playing various instruments at a young age. Besides her swift rise to musical mastery, Cecilia also found joy in fairytales and stories of Huntsmen and Huntresses that her mother read to her as a child. Eventually, Cecilia became a bookworm herself and read as many tales of fantasy and adventure as she could. And this was the spark that ignited Cecilia's dream: to become the star of one of these stories herself.
When her parents learned of her desire to be a Huntress, they were very surprised. Cecil and Leia did not expect that their sweet, innocent little girl would want to become a warrior who risked their lives to fight Grimm. Despite their initial displeasure, however, they supported her. They enrolled Cecilia in the local combat school where she learned acrobatic abilities, and eventually discovered the amazing capabilities of Dust.
There was one issue, though. Cecilia wasn't very good as using weapons. Whether they were swords, hammers, guns, grenade launchers, or her two fists, she could not become accustomed to any style of combat as seamlessly as she hoped. However, she did discover that she could use leg-based combat and kunai quite effectively. But Cecilia felt that this was not enough. She felt hopeless.
During a day of combat training, a couple of other students were poking fun at Cecilia's inferior combat skills along with her Faunus heritage, and were not relenting despite her pleas. This scenario escalated to Cecilia socking one student in the jaw, leaving a nasty bruise, which prompted the other to slash at her with his sword. In a moment of frustration and desperation, Cecilia screamed, unleashing a powerful blast of sonic energy. At this moment, she learned that this was her semblance.
Now with newfound inspiration, Cecilia trained harder and faster than ever, mastering her acrobatic prowess as well as combing Dust with her own harp, creating a contraption that flowed perfectly with her newly discovered semblance. With it, she rapidly rose to the top ranks of her class and became quite a force to reckon with. And with pride in her step, she proceeded to to the renowned Beacon Academy.
Weapons and Abilities[]
Cecilia's signature weapon is her Dust-Stringed Handheld Harp (DSHH) called Harmonia. It appears as a regular golden-colored handheld harp or lyre with eight strings each representing a type of dust by its corresponding color. While the weapon is mainly only used for dust casting, it can be functional as a emergency blunt weapon. Cecilia carries spare dust strings in case Harmonia needs to be restrung, as well as a pair of kunai daggers sheathed on her sides. The types of dust she uses are: Fire (red), Earth (brown), Wind (green), Water (dark blue), Ice (cyan), Lightning (yellow), Impact (white), and Gravity (purple).
Cecilia's semblance is called Echo, and gives her the ability to manipulate sound, or vibrations in the air. She uses Echo to both enhance and give her elemental attacks shape as well as being used as a mode of transportation. She must use an outside source of sound, such as her voice, a stomp, a clap, or the plucking of Harmonia's strings. While the soundwaves to not become solidified, they do become weaponized by Cecilia intensifying them to levels that are dangerous for anyone nearby her due to her lack of control over her semblance. The soundwaves are primarily invisible other than sparkling white glitter, which is the side-effect of Echo, but change color to reflect what Dust enhances them.
Cecilia can use her semblance pretty often as it is her main form of combat, but she has to use it in moderation. If she manipulates a small portion of sound, such as a few mini sound waves, it will only take a couple seconds for Echo to cool down enough for her to keep going without strain. However, manipulate a large wave of sound would be much more costing and, therefore, takes almost thrice as long as usual to cool down. Using her semblance any more excessively than this will fatigue Cecilia almost instantaneously.
Cecilia fights the way she tries to look: like the telltale ninja. She is very acrobatic, agile, and reflexive. She is very nimble and easily labeled as a speed-based combatant. She makes up for her lack of strength by being very adept at wielding both her semblance and Dust in a seamless combination. Her aura is on the feeble side of the spectrum, which is why Cecilia generally avoids confrontation rather than fight head-on.

- Cecilia is a variation of “Caelius”, a Roman name meaning “heaven” which brings to mind white and other light colors
- Cecilia was also the name of a Saint that was celebrated as the patroness of musicians, which alludes to the OC's musical weapon and semblance.
- Saccharo is Latin for "sugar"
- This alludes to her sweet personality, sweet tooth, and her being a sugar glider Faunus.
- Her weapon and fighting style was inspired by Sheik from Hyrule Warriors (of the LoZ franchise)
