Again?! Bloody hell Vinny! You go through these things faster than dust, its not healthy. Good thing I've been working on an upgraded version. This one can find its way back to you, just in case you decide to drop it again...but, try not to okay?

History:[]

Aeon is the seventh and most recent version of the Titan Weapon (Sword Series), started by Vicious continued by Rae. Titan I was a simple great sword, and is the same size as the rest of the series, serving as the base model for future versions. Surprisingly, the legendary Titan I, founder of the Titan series, shattered after its first use...on a Beowulf. Later versions, used more durable materials, to make it stronger, and eventually lighter. By the time Titan III was destroyed a near perfect metallic balance was discovered by Rae. Titan IV was the first blade to last more than a few months, and his creator Rae decided that the legacy blade needed a bit of sparkle. The inclusion of dust into model IV of the Titan swords proved rather disastrous, as the dust either weakened the composite metal (IV to IV-9), or caused the sword to instantly combust when used (V-V-9), maintaining the dust elemental effect until all the dust and the sword dissipate. The one to waste anything, Lt. Commander, Gearzen kept the composition and blueprints for the failed swords to used them for different weapons.

Previous versions, notes on additions, & reason for replacement:[]

Titan I:[]

Original blade, used as the base model for future versions. Shattered on first use when fighting a Beowulf.

Titan II:[]

Redesigned to be more durable, received a critical hairline fracture from another blade in battle.

Titan III (Hercules):[]

Redesigned to be more durable and flexible. Knocked out of Vicious’ hands by a Deathstalker, the glint from the blade’s reflective surface temporarily blinded Lucifer causing him to miss while using his semblance. However, the blade was sent with enough force to decapitate a nevermore spiraling overhead before hitting a metal deposit near by, and snapping off the hilt.

Titan IV (Minerva) (2-9):[]

With a reinforced hilt, Minerva was redesigned to be lighter and less shiny. When Vicious decided that Gladius Inane was an omen of death, Rae edited the blade, attempting to infuse it with dust. The result was a weakened blade. The dustless version is sold to the public as a reliable great sword.

Titan V (Exodus):[]

A second attempt to infuse dust into the blade, this time with a revised metallic compound. The result was dangerously explosive, literally. Exodus prototypes were modified into smaller blades, shaped like feathers, and added to the last layer of Archangel’s Wings, the wing armor that Vicious wears.

Titan VI (Atlas):[]

A final attempt at reviving the Titan series, Atlas was a birthday gift to Vicious who had expressed sadness with the end of his “great-companions”. The best blade yet, it was more durable, flexible, and light than any of its predecessors could have ever aspired to be. As was the custom, a new element was added to this version. A small singularity sat in the center of the guard, where the handle and blade met. The intended purpose was to enable the blade use the aura of the user to become stronger, however instead it absorbed some force from defending blows. During a test for the first version of Archangel’s Wings, Vicious was attacked midair by a nevermore, the midair defensive battle caused Vicious to lose his grip on Atlas, and dropped it into Corruption Chasm. The nevermore was later killed, "...for its sins against me personally." - Vicious.

Titan VII (Aeon):[]

The most recent addition to the legacy, Aeon’s pommel and blade tip contain sensors that respond to transponders in Vicious helmet to motion of the blade when it is out of his hand i.e. sending it flying to Vicious “should he ever decide to drop it again.” This allows quick recovery and unusually heavy and quick attacks as well as the ability of the blade to float inches from Vicious’ hand. The singularity now resembles a feeding quasar, which has both the intended, and actual bonus abilities of its predecessor. It has been recorded to be one of the lightest great swords in Remnant, and is incredibly reliable, surviving a direct hit from Gladius Inane’s hyper-charged rail beam with a small dent where the power began to melt the metal. The blade also carries a piece from each of its predecessors, with the ability to successfully release and activate varied dusts, and a revamped silver sheen.
