Appearance[]
A tall, bulky boy with shortish black hair that is swept up and to the side. He wears a large, black leather jacket and a black t-shirt under it. He wears a pair of loose blue jeans with a black woven belt and a pair of grey sneakers. He has dark brown eyes and a wide face. He wears a large metal shoulder plate on his right shoulder. He has large arms and is a very strong person (not on any supernatural level he is just a particularly physically strong person.)
Personality[]
He has a very bipolar personality, jumping quickly between very bubbly, energetic and happy to very somber and perhaps depressed quite frequently. He is constantly with his team which tends to shift him onto the happier side of his personality but is easily triggered by things said by people around him, especially his team. He lives by a strict code of conduct that has been instilled in him since a very young age by his parents. He has near genius intellect but lacks somewhat in the common sense department. He is very headstrong about ideas but is simultaneously very logical and will always listen to reason even from those he disagrees with. Ace's major downfall is that he tends to have very self serving and indulgent tendencies and impulses. He spent many years of his life serving these impulses and hurt many others in the process so he sees it his duty to make up for people he's hurt by becoming a huntsman and serving others. He still is terrible at controlling his impulses and sometimes even breaks into strange unexplained fits of masochism to fulfill some strange impulse. But in his purist of personal betterment he has achieved a certain amount of wisdom and frightfulness about people and the world in general
Weapon/Semblance[]
Ace has a hereditary semblance called "matter projection". It means he can project his aura out from him in a physical form but it must be connected to him. Naturally the matter is formless and useless and cant be used in any meaningful way but all members of his family have a small device installed into them at a young age (usually in the upper back). It looks just like a tiny metallic cap just pushing up through the skin but it allows him to manipulate his aura matter. He only is proficient at projecting them into one shape though which is a series of arms. When in this state he has six bright wight glowing arms coming from behind his back. The strength of these arms is dependent on how much he can focus on them and with enough focus he can achieve a state of zen which can allow him to levitate slightly (only for meditation purposes to gain strengh for his matter projection. this has no real use in an actual fight). His semblance is supplemented with the light exoskeleton that he wears under his clothes that allows him a bit of additional endurance and a large strength boost that can only be fully tapped into when he overclocks the exoskeleton which can only be done in small bursts and must have time to rev up. The interesting thing about this exoskeleton is that on his right hand it has a small frame running down each of his fingers that house a small firing mechanism, each of which fire a small, super strong cabel with a barbed needle on the end that can be launched into oponents or terrain allowing him to pull enemies off their guard and land strikes or climb difficult terrain (this is the reason he wears the shoulder piece, the plate covers the small motor that allows the cables to be reeled back in). His natural prowess for understanding physics and forces also helps in predicting opponents movements and the motion of projectiles. (Note: this is not like a special ability this is just something he's just kinda naturally good at. It's usually not incredibly relevant)
Fighting style[]
Ace likes to fight up close and personal. He likes to be right next to his opponent using his above average strength to overpower the opponent and his use of extra arms to throw off their defense. His style differs from one's like yang xaio long because rather than focusing on powerful strikes he prefers to use grabs and holds to put opponents in a position where they can be taken out in just one or two quick strikes. Think of yang's style like boxing and Ace's like wrestling. Despite having a boost to his physical strength due to his exoskeleton Ace will rarely ko opponents with a direct strike. He will usually use some sort of hold to try and injure a joint or more commonly will just slam his opponent onto the floor with stunning force and if that doesn't to it stomping on an opponent for a while will make them more submissive. He will rarely do even this thought due to the fact that he will usually take mercy on an opponent and will try and avoid any unnecessary pain. This is why he likes slamming the opponent onto the ground, it usually will instantly knock them out, especially if they are dropped on their head. The issue with is fighting style is that he struggles to actually get up close and personal with his opponent due to his lack of effective movement abilities, he can overclock the exo-joints around his legs to allow him a burst of speed on his feet but that has to be revved up for a couple seconds and only lasts for a couple seconds and for the most part only allows him to run in a straight line. So he has to rely heavily on pulling an opponent toward him with his little fiber launchers on his right hand. Once he gets close to someone it is very hard for them to leave due to the fact that he can grab from so many different angles with eight hands at his disposal.
History[]
Living the good life as a well off son of a renown Atlas engineer Ace grew up knowing little of the hardships that people living outside the ever prosperous Atlas faced. He was taught from a young age to always help and respect others. While still being a well behaved child for the most part at a young age he was exposed to a special dust concentration at school by a hooded man on the playground. The man held a cylinder of the powder and gave it to Ace. Ace went home and opened the cylnder and was hit by a wall of fumes that knocked him out. In his sleeping state he had strange and pleasurable dreams and waking up he realized he had enjoyed it. Over the next few months he began using the cylnder frequently. One day his parents discovered it and told him that it was a special type of dust charged drug that once it had entered your system the reaction could be triggered any time by focusing really hard on it. The bad side effect is that it nullified your aura when triggered and dulled your semblance, along with killing brain cells. He got rid of the cylinder but had to constantly live with the temptation to trigger the drug in his mind. Through his life he struggled with and addiction to the reaction and went through periods of almost never using it to using it almost every day. One night he went to sleep and dream that the drug caused him to become deranged and murder his dear family. He woke up believing this to be a vision of some sort and decided that he would find a way to make sure this never came to fruition. He spoke to his parents about enrolling in combat school rather than the prestigious school of engineering he had recently been accepted to. His parents were both confused yet supporting of this and enrolled him in the Insignia combat school where he studied and forged his rather unconventional weapon using his extensive knowledge of engineering and an old prototype of elysium knight joint structure his father had designed. He was accepted into a special program at Insignia for his exceptional academic achievement that allowed him to proceed to combat academy a year early but instead of attending Atlas like most Insignia graduates he would be studying at Vale and be guaranteed a leadership position on a team. He accepted and was taken to vale and was made the leader of team APCS (apex). He always still struggled with the drug but with support from his team and family he is constantly getting better. It still is a great weakness because the drug absolutely destroys his effectiveness in combat when recently triggered.
Post Vale[]
Team APCS competed in the Vital tournament and was eliminated in the second round of the tournament by some team who had a girl with the polarity semblance which is hard for Ace to deal with due to the fact that he is wearing a bulky metal frame under his clothes which is easily manipulated by one with the gift of polarity. When the fall happened a special team of huntsmen was deployed to go and retrieve the students representing Atlas from the special insignia program. When Ace was informed that he couldn't take his team with him he snuck onto a transport carrying the rest of team APCS and went with them to an outpost in Minstrel where he managed to contact his parents and recived the money to purchase a small house in the Minstrel countryside where the team is currently hanging out waiting for some sort of opportunity to return to a combat academy. They are currently filling their time and making money by operating as a strike team for the local police force from the area in which they are staying, taking down low class criminal organization's operation centers in the area around that area.
